The EBW Awards

It is so important that at times we get recognised for all our hard work and endeavours and the EBW Awards is a platform designed to recognise those bridal businesses from around the world that have excelled and/or exceeded a store’s or a stockist's expectation.

All exhibiting companies at European Bridal Week have the chance to become an EBW Awards winner; this makes each and every brand a nominee for this very special accolade.

What makes the EBW Awards programme score points over others is that retailers themselves have cast their votes, only one per award category, and collectively made the decision as to which suppliers among the over 500 exhibiting labels at the show, are most deserving of that coveted title.

The Awards Night

With European Bridal Week 2024 celebrating “10 IN 2024”, we had the great pleasure of bringing back the EBW Awards to Essen, Germany, being the true hub of bridal with Messe Essen hosting the longest running bridal fashion event in Germany.

The EBW Awards programme, hosted by the high-flying Italian presenter Pietro Polidori, assisted by the “face of European Bridal Week 2024” COCO, is a demonstration of enthusiasm, pride, and that all-important ethos of making a difference.

Honouring the bridal and fashion industry as a whole with all the passion we share for the industry of ours, this is not only an opportunity to celebrate the success of all the finalists and winners, but also to network with about 500 guests out of the industry from around the globe.

The Place to Be

The EBW Awards 2024 were proudly hosted at the iconic Colosseum Theater in Essen, a remarkable venue deeply rooted in the city’s industrial heritage. Originally built in 1901 as a mechanical workshop for the Krupp steelworks, the historic structure has been transformed into a striking performance and event space, preserving its steel architecture and industrial character while embracing a modern stage environment. Today, the Colosseum Theater stands as a symbol of Essen’s transformation from industrial powerhouse to cultural destination, offering a dramatic backdrop for large-scale events.

For one unforgettable evening, it became the centre of the bridal industry, celebrating the EBW Awards winners and ten years of EBW in a setting defined by history, elegance and grandeur. The night was elevated by a captivating live performance from the band Pink Panta, bringing energy, rhythm and pure entertainment to a glittering EBW celebration.

THE 2024 WINNERS

At a glamorous 2024 EBW Awards evening, held at Essen's “Colosseum Theater”, at the second day of EBW 2024, many hundreds of guests – exhibitors and show visitors as well as local dignitaries, including the Mayor of Essen, Rudolf Jelinek, who presented influencer Kennedy Bingham with the inaugural Trailblazer Award – celebrated in style.

In addition, the 2024 programme presented one bridal enthusiast with a lifetime achievement award recognising his contribution to the growth of the industry; congratulations to Larry Warshaw.
